We’re Entering the Grocery Aid Windermere Row 2019!

7 Mar,2019

At Tactical Solutions, we’re really pleased to announce that we’re entering the Grocery Aid Windermere Row this spring.

Who is Grocery Aid?

The organisation Grocery Aid is hosting the famous Windermere Row again this year – it’s been hugely successful for a number of years now. If you’ve never heard of them before, here are a few things you need to know:

  • Grocery Aid is a registered charity based in the UK
  • They were founded in 1857
  • They support people in need across the country’s grocery industry, whether they’re from corner shops or largescale factories
  • Issues such as financial guidance, legal support and overall wellbeing are focused on
  • Regular fundraising events take place to raise money for Grocery Aid’s cause

And one of those fundraising events happens to be the Windermere Row! Here’s what it’s all about and why we’re taking part.

Tactical Solutions enter the 2019 Windermere Row

So, this year, we’re taking to the water and hoping to raise some money for this amazing charity. As a company that supports a lot of brands in the grocery sector, we think it’s important to boost awareness of charities who help people in need. Now, we’re putting our money where our mouths are and actually taking part in this fantastic fundraising event!

The Windermere Row, unsurprisingly, is held on the picturesque Lake Windermere in the Lake District. We’re really excited to be spending some time in this beautiful part of the country. On the 11th May, teams from the grocery industry will gather together with friends and family to row 10 miles around the lake. Fancy dress is encouraged and cheerleaders are more than welcome! It really is a load of fun for a great cause but it is, of course, quite a physical challenge. At the end of the day, there’s a celebration evening at the Low Wood Hotel. There will be team prizes for various categories.

“I am delighted that we can support the fantastic work that the Grocery Aid charity does and in particular be involved in an event that will challenge us but also have some fun. Taking part in an event with so many people from like minded businesses and to be able to give a small something back will be great – let’s hope the sun shines and the water is calm!” – Cathy Evans, Managing Director at Tactical Solutions
